Have you been thinking of booking an aesthetic treatment but unsure of what you need? With so many options now available, it can be confusing to know which treatment is best for you.
At DK aesthetics, we treat every client individually as no two people have the same facial structure. We tailor treatments to enhance your natural beauty and improve any insecurities you may have.
Deciding on an aesthetic treatment should be a very thoughtful process and it’s worth investigating all of the treatments available to you. Luckily this blog can help you with that!
Consultation Process for Aesthetic Treatments
Before any aesthetic treatment takes place, a consultation process should be conducted. This helps the practitioner gather information on what your desired goal for aesthetic treatment is.
The consultation process also allows the practitioner to make recommendations on which treatment would be most suitable for you. Just because you hear that toxin is good for wrinkles doesn’t mean that it’s the right treatment for you, in some cases a small amount of filler is the best option to smooth out fine lines.
At DK aesthetics, all of our treatments are completed following a comprehensive consultation with our highly qualified medical professional who possesses 16 years nursing experience. We help you feel reassured that the selected treatment option is right for you and we answer any questions that you may have.

Top 3 aesthetic treatments
At DK aesthetics we offer a variety of bespoke treatments with remarkable results. Our treatments also come with very few risks and little recovery down time, in the first couple days you are mostly waiting for any swelling or bruising to subside.
With our aesthetic treatments you don’t have to take any time off work or limit your social activities.

Anti-ageing aesthetic treatments
Keeping your face smooth is no easy task. As we age wrinkles form, fat pads shrink, and the bone reabsorbs meaning our skin loses its youthful collagen and elastin it once had.
Anti-ageing treatments are a quick and convenient way to smooth out the skin. This is achieved by relaxing the facial muscles that are responsible for dynamic line formation.
Anti-ageing treatments usually improve fine lines and wrinkles around the forehead, mouth and eyes. At DK aesthetics we help clients minimise the appearance of crow’s feet or frown lines.

Aesthetic filler treatments
Aesthetic filler treatments can add contour and volume with immediate results using medical grade products that consist of hyaluronic acid or collagen. These vital ingredients occur naturally in the skin and are safe to inject for cosmetic reasons.
Fillers can be used to restore collagen that is lost with age, creating an effect that fills in wrinkles and plumps volume into the desired areas. An experienced practitioner can safely place filler into the lips, nose, chin, cheeks and under-eye.
Filler treatments can be used for a variety of cosmetic goals, but it’s important that they are placed subtly in order to compliment your facial structure and enhance your natural beauty.
3. Skin boosters
Skin boosters differ from fillers in that they are made from a lightweight hyaluronic acid gel, which is placed into the skin’s layers to hydrate the skin and stimulate new and natural collagen production. Conventional dermal fillers are injected beneath the skin to add volume and fill wrinkles.
Skin boosters are injected into the skin itself to intensely hydrate and improve overall skin quality. The results are subtle, leaving you with healthier, plumper skin and a youthful glow. Skin boosters can be used to treat many different skin areas. The most common is the face, followed by the neck, décolletage, and dorsum of the hands.

Instagram versus Reality
Real women, real skin, real life!
Take me or leave me!
Everybody on Instagram looks picture-perfect with pore-less faces and perfect bodies that only one can dream of. However, this is not an accurate representation of reality. Not even Kim Kardashian or Kylie Jenner look as perfect as they appear on social media.
With an image of perfection constantly projected on our social feeds, we tend to forget that unrealistic beauty standards exist all around us.
I, like many others, love a good pic upload when I’m feeling and looking my best. Yes, I get aesthetic treatments and I am never ashamed to say it. I work bloody hard and love to reward my hard work with some self-care and glow ups.
Yes, I post the good pics, but I also post the pictures and videos when my makeup isn’t perfect, my skin is in the middle of a hormonal breakout and I’m feeling miserable because that is real life.
Always remember…
Angles and good lighting are everything! People aren’t always as curvy as they appear. There have probably been 20 plus photos taken before one is chosen to be uploaded onto social media.
Some people are so good at posing that it’s second nature to them. Most people appear to be relaxed in perfect Instagram photos but they are working very hard to pose and appear effortless! Instagram is not reality!
Instagram can make us feel better about ourselves. However, it can also lead to major dissatisfaction, the most important thing when looking at Instagram vs. reality, is to remember that the latter should always be acceptable.
Just be yourself 😘 x
